![]() ![]() It is very difficult to look up a line that one is interested in. My main criticism is that there is no index of variations - at all! This makes this book very very difficult to use as a reference book. The shortcomings however overshadowed what could have been an excellent book. Having taken up Gary Lane's (excellent) recommendation to play the Chigorin Defence against 1.d4 in his book "Ideas Behind Modern Chess Openings: Black", I keenly awaited for Morozevich's book to land on my door mat - after all, Morozevich is a world top ten GM and Gary Lane's book is a complete Black repertoire book, so I felt that a bolstering in the Chigorin was needed. ![]()
